Hall Closet: When Mary met Jane

I have definitely been living for the Mary Jane. Like they just look SO perfect with all the pretty short dresses floating around lately so maybe this makes me a bit late on catching up with the Mary Jane wagon since Miu Miu already had that phase last season on their runway, but hey better late then never right?!

So the pair that I've been seriously like going up for are the pair from Marc by Marc Jacobs, the Black-on-Black, and the Black & White but the point is that I like the perfectly rounded toe, the platform and how the overall chunkiness works. There are several Ms. Jane's out there that are really getting heavy rotation. From designers such as Linea Paolo, Dolce Vita, and another one of my favorite Tapeet. Hall Closet: Just-A-Peak (Oscar de la Renta Pre fall 2008 & Kate Moss for Donna Karan?))

Its de la Renta back with his signature looks consisting of gradient colors, bejeweled embellishments, florals, bold colors, feathers, ruffles, bouffant sleeves, non-run lingerie jersey, metallic lame, and opaque leggings. Debuting on Manhattan's Park Ave, Oscar de la Renta has once again given us a glimpse of whats to come, and to be honest I'm personally elated about the fourth coming runway contraptions. So yea get in, besides its only a sneak peek!

In other news, my wonderful cousin recently moved to Los Angeles on business and has come into contact with several elites of the industry whether it be music, fashion, or hair! LOL. Well on call the other day he ended up on set with Kate Moss and she was shooting an up coming ad for Donna Karan and he directed me to these exclusive pics. Now word is that this is "one" of the few faces she is going to decide on for this particular fashion campaign, so I'm definitely excited to see who the other contenders are! Work out Donna! Pharrell has been working on his jewelry line with Louis Vuitton for almost two years now and it is finally going to be released this January. He has been down with LV for some time; from his collaboration on the millionaire frames to his LV ad last August. Pharrell has also started to work on the promotion including this shoot which took place in Miami.

She never sleeps, I swear she is a super hero. Bionic B was spotted leaving the Chanel store today. They celebrated Jay’s 38th B-day, doing the usual -riding around the city in the Bach and the Rolls, hitting the spa, and of course dining at L’Avenue restaurant. Im not even gonna say too much, just get into her threads. (( throws apple macbook across the room )) Catch her performance of "Over The Rainbow" on Movies Rock this friday on CBS.

Prince is the beatest man I've seen, and he continues to give what he gave in the Vanity 6 era (( style wise )). From his heels, to his make up, he changed the game of fashion. When someone can put on an ensemble and coin who originated it, they truly brought something different.

Juice Box : Winter Wondaland

One of my favorite stores, FCUK (( French Connection )) is back this holiday season with affordable coats-making our bodies warm and keeping our credit cards from being frozen (( when you ain't got no moe cash )). So I've included a few of my favorites, For Her & For Him.
I tend to really like these types of stores, ie. FCUK, ZARA, H&M because they somewhat resemble pieces from a higher brand's collection. So you can still be fashionable with quality pieces without the heavy price tag.

Hall Closet: Age Ain't Nothing But A Number

Check out Naomi Campbell on the cover of this months issue of Marie Claire España. She's arguably the most successful supermodel in history. Aside from her temper, you can't knock her success in the modeling industry; Naomi is an icon. Rocking a purple feathered Louis Vuitton ensemble as she grace the pages with ease. After 21 years in the business, Miss Campbell is still on top of her game. Just like wine, with age it just gets better. Oh and I'm stuck on the last photo, I need a photographer to help me re-live that shoot.

Kevo hit the streets again and he found Micah here in Atlanta who's pretty fresh to be 19, and those tights and heels are murder, GAG. I sometimes have to hold seminars on "Why Women Should Wear Pumps", and I can't even lie, I got my life cause I love women in HIGH heels.

Juice Box: Pop Culture

Michael Jackson will celebrate the 25th anniversary of his iconic “Thriller” album with a new edition of the set, due Feb. 12 via Epic/Legacy Recordings. So this week has been madd krazy for me, LB has some new things in the works and we hope you like it. I've been working really hard, trying to bring something new and I do this because I love it. This has been the most challenging, yet liberating season-From my move to Atlanta to my projects. I would really like to thank all my people who held me down, cause I've lost friends and all kinna wack $hit has happened but I keep working, Im never gonna stop, but I do wonder what it all really means.

Where have I been? I've been in the house all week trying to study for my final exams (( this is the last week of school )), and I've missed almost every function and event. I needed to get out and reflect on the new year, so I called up one of my best hommies, Vinnet, who is a killer photographer to have lunch and to test shoots for our next campaign. We ate at one of our favorite spots "The Flying Biscuit" and we took a tour of our school, Morehouse College. Because of YOU, my vision for LateBoots has come to life, and I just keep working and elevating my sense of style and love for the fashion industry. I swear we live and breath this "stuff" and it's only a matter of time until we can live out our dreams.

Im now back with some fashion ads that automatically made me think ART, which is a prominent aspect of the FASHION industry. From Calvin Klein, to Giorgio Armani these fashion geniuses have stamped and delivered ads that can sell your momma!!!! ((LOL))I also found a LANVIN ad that I feel was the innovator of the "platform" shoe. I was so intrigued because of the simplistic direction that was given throughout each picture. Its certain. Derek Lam is stupid. I ran across this couture coat while looking for a coat to get my Mom for christmas. Yes, the detailing of the sleeves are superb and because its only 20 of these jackets made in the world I felt that it definitely took up space on the more exclusive side of things. You can cop you one of these for a mere $2,000.00 and some elbow grease! Derek Lam has become a prominent force in the industry, I have more exclusive pics coming from this mastermind soon.

Cartier Times : My Covergirl

So, Im not sure if you've been sleeping on Top Model, but I haven't. I said I wasn't gonna put my emotions or feelings in this season, but Im in love with Saleisha. I hate when I fall in love because if they don't win I start cussing out Tyra calling her all types of things. My friend Kevin and I argue over Saleisha because he feel's she is boring and commercial. I say screw the rest, I love her. She has personality and she can be commercial (( which is what you have to be sometimes )) and she can be high fashion. But when did top model ever have a winner who was actually high fashion? If your contract is with covergirl you have to be commercial. I must admit, I thought Heather would win this season, but she was let go last episode (( yes )) so Saleisha has a good chance of winning..

No make-up, no hair, STOP, I ain't finish yet. No make-up, no hair but still beat? Ladies and Gentlemen, I bring you BEYONCE. If you can remember a few post back, I said that I love candid shots of Beyonce when she's not dolled up. Beyonce has been uping her style, from Balenciaga to Dolce & Gabbana gowns. Ofcourse we all knew she could afford it but after her Deena Jones transformation and her release of B'Day she has UPgraded her personal style. In the picture above-I love her shoes, her bag, her coat, bring the beat back. B was leaving The Spotted Pig where she enjoyed a private party with friends. Cartier Times : No-no, she's not Anna but..

When I first saw the photos from "COCKTAILS FOR RICCARDO TISCI" I stumbled across the two picutres above. I said, oh there's Anna. But then I looked harder and it's Christina Ricci. When in doubt, chop it out-the Anna bob. I swear Christina looks just like Anna, I mean give or take a few factors but for the most part, she so jacked Anna and I love it! (( mini lil Anna's walking around )). I love the new Christina Ricci, and she so killed it in "Black Snake Moan". Im beginning to take her acting and style very serious!
