Hall Closet: Snoop goes hi fashion....

I'm actually puzzled by this, but I'm definitely appreciating the history that is being made here. For the first time in VOGUE history a African American rapper has made the cover. YES! Snoop Dogg is on the cover of L'UOMO Vogue ITALIA December 2007 issue. Shot by photographer Mark Seliger, Snoop shows a side that I find hilarious but quite debonair. I just cant believe that it would be him out of all rappers but hey, Jenifer Hudson was on a cover so that explains it all! LOL. Get into his pics after the jump....

((Snoop posing for the kids?? damn....))

Hall Closet: Kanye covers SPIN Magazine

After having a multi platinum LP and dealing with the death of his mother, rapper and style iCON Kanye West covers SPIN magazine as the Artist of the Year. In the article he discusses the success of his album, the so called "beef" with fifty cent, and the way he is dealing with his mom's death. The cover is hot so make sure you pick up a copy off of your local magazine stand.

((Ye sits on this cover. Futuristic down.))

Hall Closet: Deck the Halls Bitch.....

Many people say that Couture is in it's last stages and it will die out with the current masters of Haute Couture design (i.e. John, Karl, Christian L.) Fashion industry pros speculate that new crop of talent won't have the originality and the creativity, or the skills to pull of a Christian Dior theatrical production or a Christian Lacroix extravaganza. After the greats have sketched their last sketch, sewn their last hem, and taken their last bow, will that be the END OF HAUTE COUTURE????

Here's a new editorial spread shot by ERWIN OLAF, featuring the designs of current masters of couture, Valentino, Chanel, Givenchy, Gaultier, Dior, Christian Lacroix, and Giorgio Armani Prive.

Favorite Things : Ansley Edition

So many people wanna know " who is Ansley?" well she works behind the scences with our interviews and our questions and concepts. So most if not all the interview questions you read came from her and she does most of the sit downs with out featured guests. You got it? lol Ok now to the gifts, I've seen everybody's favorite things list and Ansley's is quite different, I love that she wants the Kennedy empire, now that's a list.

Saturday

Hall Closet : Cargo Check

Im so over the skinny jean (( for men )) and I've found a new love, Cargo. I recently saw Jay-Z rock some black cargos and it made his look so much cleaner and fresher-Very mature. D&G has some really hot ones, I really dig the fit but ofcourse the price is a bit much. One thing I must say is that with big labels such as D&G the fit will make you look better because it's more tailored but sometimes you can buy cheaper pants and get them taken in.
So I was shopping and I found some really cheap ones at OLD NAVY. (( My cousin works there so I got that 20 percent off, hey ain't no shame in my game. )) They have some for like 20 bucks, cause remember it's not about rocking labels from head to toe, give a cute sneaker and a hot jacket with OLD NAVY'S cargo pant-man I love fashion.

Hall Closet : Airport Chic

It's December and the airports are busy as ever, everyone is traveling to and from for the holidays. Im not the type to just throw on anything to hit the port, I believe in being comfortable yet still being somewhat stylish. So I've found some pieces from MIHARAYASUHIRO that I really like.
Im sure most of you are going out of town for Christmas, you might see me at the airport so please no velour tracksuits. Try to wear something where you don't have to change once you reach your destination. Im heading back home to Houston, Texas-Welcome to the south, we always riding BIG on the freeway, yeah Im a country boy. (( BK like dem country boys naw mean!! )) But travel safely and bring some style to your flight!!

Cartier Times : Deja Vu

I've always known that Solange was beat and I've always stuck by her side. When she made her debut with "Solo Star" I copped it and still play it to date. I don't know, it's something about her that intrigues me. I wasn't a fan of her "earth look" a few years back, (( long floor skirts and sea shells in her braids )). During those days she was really young and she grew up in the public eye, cause some of us weren't fly during those teenage days. But the Solange Knowles that presents herself this '07, Im in love with. From her hair going from blonde to black and those fly ass mini dresses- I swear it's deja vu cause I always knew her potential. Im loving her style and I can't wait to see what else she will bring us in '08.

Hall Closet: (Sighs)...

Shot by Emma Summerton, this VOGUE ITALIA is considered to be a classic. From the head pieces to the angles, the colors, and the basic shapes and silhouettes I can see why it was. The model channels a very classic pin up/ couture look that goes beyond the word edgy. It is everything people. Get in... all the way..... in.
The entire spread after the jump.

Go-C: Dallas Stovall

Dallas Stovall is considered to be one of the TOP male models in the world. Being signed to IMG has sky rocketed his career and he hasn't looked back since. Dallas has walked the runway and shot print ads for Calvin Klein, Hugo Boss, and couture designer Jean Paul Gaultier. I think that his aura and look is very All- American, but very fresh. I definitely agree with the term "top model" when it comes to Dallas! More pics after the jump.

((Saleshia still SLAYS him though...LOL))

Style Block

So, we're changing a few things here at LateBoots and Im lovin the new pics Kevo took of street fashion. Cassie is so cute, I wanna like pinch her lol. Her hair is dope, and her outfit is from Target. Although fashion is geared more towards labels, it's always refreshing to see how people put bargain pieces together to make an outfit. And I really like seeing young people who rock fashion because we truly are the future.

Cartier Times : She Wins & I Told You So.

YESSSSSSS!!! I first clocked Saleisha as the winner of ANTM when I saw the first episode. And I was soooo right. I was with iCON and I said " she's gonna win, I don't know, it just seems as if she is the COVERGIRL". Now, some people have mixed feelings because they feel she is too commercial, but so was the other girl, (( I won't even say her name )) and when has ANTM ever gave you high fashion winners besides NIK?-who didn't even win (( still pissed Tyra )) so be glad and dance like david danced!!

Cartier Times : Back In The States

Beyonce has been giving Paris hell and she arrived back in NYC-but a very tamed down version. Im kinna mad cause I wanted her to give the states hell like she did in Paris. I never saw that side of Beyonce and I loved every bit of it. The parties over. She's still beat, don't get it twisted yo lol.

Hall Closet : Open The Door

Im so bored with men's fashion. Like seriously. I went to Neimans, Saks, Barneys and Bloomingdales....who are your buyers? I found nothing. But the women get everything. It's not fare, so I decided to pull of a few of my favorite "COUTURE" pieces from Christian Dior, I know you've heard that word plenty of times-everybody now makes couture. Next it will be couture coffee. Nevertheless, real "COUTURE" is HAUTE and John Galliano is a master in creating some akward yet REAL fashion moments.

Hall Closet: BEAT....... In the time of sorrow

Dealing with death is very hard, and I have definitely come to realize that. My grandmother who raised me to be the well mannered, GOD fearing, and the intelligent man that I am today passed away Friday morning. It was like experiencing that one thing you dreaded throughout your entire life once you understood what DEATH was and I had to take it head on.

So I'm dedicating this to the memory of my grandmother. Now when attending a funeral you should definitely keep in mind that you are there for your loved one and I'm willing to bet that they would wish to see you look absolutely amazing. So I called up my girl Mrs. Beckham and she gave me some tips on sick-o-ning funeral fits!

The first thing I thought about was a hat from East Heaven! YES! Something big, black, and passionate. Hats are a statement at funerals and my grandmother loved them. Then comes the all so classy elbow length glove, which shows proper mannerism and etiquette (try and make sure that its elbow, but a regular lace hand fitted pair wold be fine.) And last but totally not least the dress. Now I feel that this can be done in two ways, the uptight (I want to get this over with way) or the dramatic (I'm in mourning and I dont care who see's me kind of way). Either way is appropriate from my stand point so check them out and let me know your opinion. I have pics of each style we are discussing! Death is a serious matter guys, I never wanted to believe that it would hit this close to home with me but it did. So with warmest thoughts... Get your fits together, you never know when you'll have to pull out that BEAT.... in the time of sorrow outfit!
((R.I.P Doris Marie Johnson, My Grandma, My Angel, and My Fashion Guru. Pray for me guys.))

iCON

Mrs. Beckham actually wore this Phillip Treacy number to a wedding. This hat gives me funeral down and I absolutely live for the grandness of it.

This particular fit is the "uptight" number that we explained. Very classy and modern with those elbow gloves that adds just the right amount of sass that you will need.

Now this is my "dramatic" piece that screams au vanguard. I just adore things of hi fashion and I feel that if you are in the mood and wish to show exploit your emotions... go for it... ALL THE WAY!

Now this.... This is the perfect funeral couple.. LOL

Cartier Times: Purched..... with a Dooney!

From fashion shows, to on the set of her very own shows, or to just a day out on the town (with alleged beau singer/ songwriter Neyo), Ms. Hayden Pannettiere has been giving it to me. She has been really conveying chic trends in the most simplistic way and I have found that to be quit refreshing. So with that being said, she has done something else for me that I thought would never be possible... Yes, she has made me actually think that a Dooney & Burke bag (showed in the pic) is cute.

She is the face of the this seasons new bag which by the way slays! I have never been a fan of D&B but she has came and turned that around. The bag (which she assisted in designing) is very modern, and trendy and doesnt have alot of monogrammed emblems all over it. The patented leather also works very well on the design and from the info I've obtained its available in red and black.

((bag lady you gone miss yo bus!!))
