I first noticed Rachel Roy late in the game, I think it was on an episode of Damon Dash's BET Show "The Ultimate Hustler", and from that moment I quickly learned she was one of the most fashionable-unapolegetic dressers. Her style is so casual chic-yes, to the masses she looks crazy and confused, but to the ones who understand fashion and self expression understand her. It's not about being the best dressed or sexies woman in the room, but it's all about your character.

Maybe it's because my dad is half italian and I tend to love pastas and wine-or not, but one of my favorite sining moments is eating pizza. No, Im not talking Papa John's or PizzaHut, the rest I won't even address, but it's nothing like a big sloppy slice of pizza-you can't tell me nothing, if you ain't got sauce n crust then you ain't got nothing for me. I've found that the best places who serve the best slices are always mom and pop places. There I could never imagine eating a whole pie, but the fresh ingredients made to order on my individual slices is my favorite part, and those garlic bread rolls were DOPE! But you already know, I ended up eating the rest of my pizza the next morning, no microwave involved-that's when you know it's good.

True Story: We're in Miami, I go to my boys room in search of a pair of shoes to wear to the beach, I only brought velvet slippers and I hate sandals, so he has over 20 pair of sneakers he packed, I went down the line as he informed me of each one and it's history. The Gourmets, which are handcrafted in another country or something. I think he thought that would tickle my fancy, I mean I was slightly impressed but I passed. I don't do sneakers, but my friend you have a problem. Your sneaker collection is sick.

It started back in the day when all the little girls would sell their cookie dough for $3.00 a pop, my mom always bought a box when the girls would set up shop infront of the grocery store. They use to annoy me like the Salvation Army bells during christmas time. I was never a big person on sweets so I always turned the other cheek. But one day I opened that blue box labeled Shortbread, my goodness, I ate both columns. My mother would say " boy who said you could open up my cookies", of course my response was "just buy somemore, they was only $3.00". She later put me on to Carmel Delights, oh how delighted I was. The carmel and coconut, man I went nuts on the orders she would take from her best girlfriend on the job. Because of this I actually joined the Boy Scouts of America, I thought I would be selling something similar to cookies, but we just went on camping trips and wore ugly short sets. But it's that season again, will you be cookie'd up? I got boxes on deck.

During our travels Sham and I have come across a colorful mix of people, when we spent last summer in New York we randomly meet this guy named Damon Peruzzi outside of a night club. It was funny because the whole night we kept saying" I've seen him somewhere before" but we just let it go and enjoyed our night. Around 3:30 am that morning I woke up and said" that's the guy from Kelis's Bossy video", the rest I'll accredit to chemistry because the next day he invited us to his Harlem apartment. A self-painted portrait hangs above his bed and his room is filled with racks and racks of flamboyant clothing, almost like a virtual showroom. He has the most clothes I've ever seen, even magazines pull from his personal closet. Almost every other night Sham and I was poppin bottles in Goldbar and Guest House with Nas & Kelis and Lionel Richie, but aside from having this fabulous persona, Damon is one of the nicest people I've come across. So when he invited us to his birthday bash this past weekend in LA we were so sad that we couldn't make it. The list included his good friend Kelis, Tracee Ellis Ross, Mr. Bentley and others.

He killed it with that bow tie, jacket, fur piece and those shades. Im patiently waiting for my return to the city.

I always keep my eye on the hidden talent, I'll bookmark certain designers and check back periodically to see if their collection is consistent. One designer that I love is Victor Glemaud. I think it was sometime last year when his Spring 09 collection caught my attention. I was recently on his official site reviewing his Fall/Winter collection, above are the looks that spoke to me. A few days later, I get an email informing me that LateBoots was on his press list.

I'll be the first one to admit that my generation sometimes lack creativity, when you study the past it's easier to understand the present. See Im no world history teacher so Im not talking about your Topical Approaches book, but I believe that we should study our craft and it's history. Alot of people have been in the game for decades, raining that is, so when I come across my peers and we speak about business alot don't fully know the history of their " I wanna be a designer, stylist or fashion editor" positions. Yeah you might have the look but do you have the books? There are really successful ones sitting high and pretty and between you and I they aren't going anywhere anytime soon. Check the credits, some people have had the same positions since 1984, yeah I know. My advice, and I use to be so against this, get an internship under these accomplished people. Yes we are the new age, and things are different but just as Bob Colacello put it, "Today people break the rules without even knowing what the rules are. Someone like Andy Warhol knew art history forward and backwards. So Andy was able to break the rules like Picasso did because they both knew what they were rebelling against. Today kids are just rebelling, but in this aimless way."

Know your knowledge, learn your craft. Learn it well.

I Not A Mexican.

I was in search of some new spots to dine at, but Mr. Richy Ro$$ loves mexican food, so we get all the way to Florida and he is craving some fast food joint called Baja Fresh. I wanted to explore the culinary , he wanted to explore this burrito. Now you know I was over it, the lady at the counter taking my order didn't understand me, I didn't understand her, so I told her to just give me whatever. We get to the table and he GOES IN. It's called concentration, he worked that rito. Look how he attacked it. Now I will admit the food was pretty good, I had chicken taquitos with beans n rice, so if there's a Baja Fresh by you it's a great place for fast mexican food.

Now that my hair actually moves when the wind blows everybody thought I was a native, I don't speak mexican. Notice how I grabbed the title post from Lucy in the 1995 Clueless movie.

Publication: Beyonce covers the April 2009 issue of Vogue magazine.

She finally gets her first cover of the V, but is the whole magazine dedicated to her weight? That's all I keep reading about on the page. For a second I thought Beyonce was a fitness guru or celebrity personal trainer, do state that she is a Living Legend and Icon. I guess this is why Bey doesn't respond to diss tracks. Real women have curves and get money and get covers. Save your work deposits and cop this cover! The article should be interesting.

Creative Pursuit.

It took a Miami getaway and a beach chair for me to get my thoughts and friend circle together. Some made it back in, others did not. I have a new outlook on life, Im getting back to what matters-hard work. Im reading 5 books at a time, Im going to do less talking and more hustling. I will no longer argue or debate about my greatness to others, real creativity is being true to yourself and getting people to go with you. That's influence. I've also learned that I want to live on Star Island.
