It's March and I already feeI overwhelmed with my syllabus, Im spending my weekdays writing papers, studying the french language and planning my first event. So when the weekend approaches I spend my Saturday mornings reading and watching documentaries, accompanied by a bowl of Crunch Berries and Cinnamon Toast Crunch. My mother interrupted my learning session by asking me if she should wear a black dress with tights or a suit for today. I replied, what type of suit, she said "just a regular suit". Oh mother I replied, there is no such thing as a regular black suit. How is it cut, what is the material!! So I just spent the last 30 minutes showing my mother how to use and navigate Style.com, I said "see you just click on the designer and look at the collection, that way you'll be knowledgeable of the current state of fashion". So I told her to pick a collection and she randomly clicked on Gareth Pugh Fall 09 and gave me this confused look, and that is when I realized fashion was generational and for those who had a love for it.

So for the longest I always wondered how is this place was even possible? When I was younger I use to hit this spot up all the time, back then it was like $3.99 and that small lil change got you stuffed on pasta, salad, deserts and even custom made pizzas. So Im back home and my moms ain't trynna cook, and I just found $8.00 in the couch.

So Im back home in Houston and being in this environment stirs up some memories, music was always my way out and this Mase joint was crazy back in the days-it always made me feel good when I watched it. I remember I use to have my vcr tape ready to press record when the video came on...and you never recored at the beginning of the tape cause when you play it back it would be all choppy with the lines and you had to keep pressing the tracking button for it to show clear. And peep the cameos in the vid, Traci Bingham use to be on point. Man I miss those days.

Since my recent trip to Miami I've become more fond of outside cafe's and delicate fabrics, it's something about the character in which the outside brings. So I hit up this place called Nexxt Cafe, the ambiance was unforgettable but the service was horrible, they took forever to bring me my check and the lemonade was a mess--is it me or does Chick-fil-a have the best lemonade. I'll bypass through all the metaphors and get straight to the point, the ribs at Nexxt are ON POINT. Served with handmade onion rings and fries, this is the best $30.00 I spent in Miami. Would I ever go back? Yes, but I'll be taking my order to-go.

So I've always wondered, when you place a to-go order are you suppose to tip the server? Cause technically they did serve you, but I don't know if it's 15 percent worth. And everytime I ask one of my friends who works as a waiter they get all emotional lol. And don't you hate when you go to a restaurant and the waiter puts the whole party on one ticket as if "one" individual was gonna pay the whole bill, like you should be able to tell that we are not together!! I take that back, these days anything possible.

Dear Summer.

Sighting: Rihanna leaving Les Deux nightclub last night in L.A.

Ladies, this is the summer look, it's very effortless yet chic. It's not doing too much, but it's just enough. The colors and the cut is so appropriate for the hot sunny days and mild nights. It reminds me of the Versace era days--silk printed blouse type shirts, pair it with a short, and you've got Ocean Drive in any state.

Yeah so Im doing a short today, and ofcourse not that length, that's not my ministry but Rih's fashion forecasts are always on point.
