Memo to the industry-BRING THE MALE MODELS BACK. Im so excited to start working in the fashion industry, I pretty much know every top male model, but what remains the same-the women rule the industry with guys taking a back seat. So it's my mission to somehow bring Male Models back so that brings me to Super Model himself, Tyson Beckford. If were gonna go forward we must go back to history. Tyson hit the scene back in 1993 when he landed a campaign with Ralph Lauren. It shocked all of us because Ralph Lauren was an utlra conservative line and they used a black guy full of tatts to be the face of. Being one of the biggest models in the 90's it's impressive to see Tyson still remains relevant a decade later. As some of you might know in 2005 Tyson was in a car accident where he showed his banged up face on Oprah. I was taken back when I saw the photo's, like you can't lose your money maker. Fast forward a few years later and now Tyson presents to you his new show with Niki Taylor titled "Make Me a Super Model" on bravo. I actually saw the show lastnight and I was really impressed. I will def be watching it this season. So maybe this TV hosting will make Tyson morph into the male version of Tyra Banks-another household, more successful model in the industry. At any rate, Tyson has made his name STAMPED in the industry and he will always remain "The First".
