Paris Fashion Week: Ring around the Rosie...

Lagerfeld has done it... AGAIN. The great one presented Chanel's Autumn/Winter 2008 collection in Paris on a Carousel! Like where does he gets this from?! It looked absolutely beautiful, and I do believe that has marked himself as one the greatest to execute a show of this caliber! The set-up was dynamic.. considering the fact that he just came off of an high with the show he presented for the Spring 08 line (walking out of the human-sized Chanel coat), I really feel that he has out done himself! Bravo Karl! Now on to the collection....
Now... I honestly feel that he put more time into the set than the clothing this time around. I feel that this collection was all over the place and I really didn't get a certain feel of cohesiveness that I needed. I did notice a lot of tweeds (a Chanel signature), leather, knits, stockings and bejeweled berets. I appreciate that he did pay Co-Co homage this season with all of the tweeds and berets! His closing looks were very long and dramatic gowns that had galloping capes that ensured a gasping ending. Overall, Lagerfeld can never fail in my book.... and that's that!

((... it's a given))

iCON :)
