INSIDE THE FORNARINA URBAN BEAUTY SHOW
The past fashion week in Milan was obviously a spectacle of events, however...Fornarina stole the scene. Bombarded by the young, fashionable, and posh Milanese, for the 3rd year, the Urban Beauty Show, combines fashion, art, music, video, dance and acting to display their 2008 apparel collection. The installations are set up by the minds of many underground pop surrealist artists, including US Glenn Barr, Japan’s Junko Mizuno and Hispanic-Dutch illustrator Mijn Schatje. The scenes were amazing and somewhat breath taking, as the models fitted in Fornarina hottest new garb, act out mythical and enchanting scenes, transforming between human and animalistic characters. The after party was live! With much of Milan’s scene-sters out to play, were pumped with free Heineken and candy coated popcorn. We danced the night away (along with the 15 ft. hot pink dinosaur in the middle of the dance floor).

The show has had much success in Barcelona, Rome and Milan, and is expected to hit the US in 2008.Chick for Fornarina

It is said that the word "passionate" is used much to often but in this case its a mere understatement. Lauren Paige Carothers is just that plus more. Born in San Diego CA, "ElleC" knew at an early age that image was everything. Upon relocating to Atlanta, GA as a student @ Clark Atlanta University she quickly up'd the anty on her creative resume becoming co-founder of the renowed Project X Fashion Show Production & Modeling Agency and also starting her very own Fashion PR firm labeled "BANGS". She then ventured to New York City for Merceded Benz Fashion Week Spring 2007, where she worked with several elite designers and she's also interned for big named designers such as AquaPoni & Norma Kamali. Upon returning to school in the Fall of 2007, she decided to go international study abroad in Milan. There are huge plans and desires in the future that she plans to implement to not only elongate her resume but to also enrich her knowledge thats solely dedicated to her success in life.
