I always joke with my friends that it's so easy to be fashionable when you have alot of money, but sometimes you have to work with what you got. Women have it so much easier, so I thought. I got another email from reader Ameer.

I know that you must read and received hundreds of e-mails a day, but i will not waste your time with this. I am on lateboots at least three times a day to check out your updates and your blog is splendid, Kudos. What I wanted to know is if you do any personal help with styling? The reason I ask is that I have a little problem, I currently work full time and I make decent money to keep me going, I am just thankful that I have a job, but on my spare time is that I love shopping. I sort of lean to one designer which is Ralph Lauren which I know is your area amongst many others, I tend to buy one selected item that will be very expensive and then I only find myself leaving the store with one essential item that i spent all this money for and don't really get around to wearing it because I want to by other items to go with the one that I just bought. I ask of you to help me in this area, teach me how to spend wise and still find nice pieces for an affordable price.Let me know what you think and if time permits can you get back to me...Well thanks for your time Marquis and let me know what you think."-Ameer

First you should never walk out of a store with a whole outfit from head to toe, you'll break the bank. Invest your money in staple pieces and then pair them with your vintage finds. My advice is vintage and thrift shopping. Some should be aware that there is a big difference between the two, from my studies lol I've found that vintage shops carry alot of labels, the prices are not always low but way cheaper than the stores. Thrift is like hand me downs I guess I should say. The secret is mixing the old with the expensive. I find females can dress way cheaper than boys but there is a science to it, and let's face it, some are good at it, others are not. Women have so many different shoe options, check the LV Spicy Sandal Collection, pair those with an outfit you found in a vintage or thrift shop, invest in a label bag and some sort of jacket or top and you're good.

( I so hope Ameer was a female, yall need to start including your sex in the email, all these butch queen names ).

Now I might've left a few things out, but for the most part I think I summed it up. And Im sure you have a few style tips and advice for Ameer, what are your thoughts?

So Im watching Friday's Oprah and she has Tyler Perry on, which she calls him Rich Negro Man, and they have this sort of round table where they just talk about random things during the show. So a few years ago Tyler came to Oprah's house to do a pre-screening of his film "Why Did I Get Married", he arrives in his white Bentley GT. Infatuated with the car, Oprah's BFF Gayle King is telling her that she should get this car, but reluctant Oprah swears she doesn't need a new car. So months past and Oprah mentioned the car on one of her episodes with Tyler and a few weeks later, came Christmas time, he sent her a white Bentley Continental GT.

Now hear comes the shouting part, once Oprah got her new car Gayle was going crazy, she was calling Tyler to thank him for what he did for Oprah. Because of her excitement, he bought her one as well. So this negro bought his girl friends Oprah and Gayle a Bentley Continental GT.

Damn, is my definition of friendship different. As of now we just take turns and pay the bill at dinner. See I've always wanted friendships that wasn't built on or considered with gossip, but fly shit. I can't wait for these Money Moments.

We Leave Out On Tuesday.

Spring Break officially starts now, and packing for out of town trips can be a hassle. So I found this info and thought it would informative.

First a look at your closet:

organization begins with an honest evaluation of your wardrobe
you should have nothing in your closet that isn't currently wearable
lose anything that doesn't fit or is out of style
if you haven't worn it in a year, ask when you will wear it again
make sure everything in your closet goes with something else
place baskets for laundry, dry-cleaning, and alterations.

Separate by season:

store off-season in another area if short on space
separate by clothing purpose (formal, work, casual)
separate by type (jackets, blouses, pants, skirts, etc.)
separate by style (short-sleeve, long-sleeve)
hang clothes by color from light to dark
for quick and easy dressing, hang full outfits together

Storing your Clothes:

put in cedar chips to keep out insects
wire hangers make marks in the shoulders of your shirts
stick to padded or plastic tubular hangers
take your wire hangers to the dry cleaner to recycle
use double-hanging rods for shorter items
get rid of dry cleaner plastic covers as they clutter up your closet
store small loose items in drawer systems or plastic tubs
socks, lingerie, bathing suits, pantyhose, etc.
roll up pantyhose to prevent runs
hang scarves on a hanger or scarf rack
take shoes out of their original cardboard boxes
use a shoe rack to keep footwear in sight and organized
install shelves or bins for folding items

Because it can be overwhelming, it's always good to have a few looks in mind so you can still pack lighty. Create your own personal look book with the days ensembles previously put together. Remember to bring your staple pieces that can take you from day to night.
