Hall Closet: Milan Fashion Week Review Spring 08 (Giorgio Armani)

Inspired by the sensual summers of Northern Italy, this collection had a much more relaxing and casual touch than Armani's usual sleek, sharp and sexy silhouette. It was definitely about time for a new look too. I was kinda getting bored with the same somewhat conservative look Armani gave. I am usually not one for gypsy looking shorts, but I am loving these. Armani upgrades them with the shiny material and the subtle tailoring, making them look feminine and elegant while still being very relaxing and comfortable. They appear to be very versatile too, looking great with equally relaxing looking tops, loose and fitted jackets. Ladies this look will definitely be one that you may want to get in your line up for your Spring nights out.

Then there were the dresses. He keeps up with the theme by using the light flowing fabric further enhanced by its texturized print. More into the collection, were creations that I thought were just superb. Armani's pairing of the sequence top with the flowing floral skirt is just genius to me. Something a little more typical of Armani, the evening wear. I simply LOVE all of these, especially the fact that he went with a metallic/futuristic detail. Simply beautiful. Oh and it looks like some people are going to have to invest in light shawls next season too!
