Well once again, BET brings you their annual "Rip the Runway" special. Taped last night at Hammerstein Ballroom in New York, it brought out a lot of musical stars and beauties! Hosted by Lauren London (10's across the board!) and Mr. Apple Bottom himself, Nelly, the event seemed fun-filled and entertaining. Randomly this years show was "executively" produced by Diddy himself.
Our good "Judy", Miss Teyana Taylor stormed the runway giving a sickening VOGUE performance! I love this chick and to be 16 years-old, her body is banging! Also rocking the stage was Missy Elliot shaking her “Ching-A-Ling.” Missy never fails to deliver a hit! I love her and her hair! I'm quite sure her performance was off the chain with crazy dances and sick interludes! I wonder if her and Teyana collabed in any kind of way on stage?!! I guess we will see! I live for the both of them!
Now the red carpet was a charity case! Flo-rid-a was in the building LOUD with is lime-green leather jacket on... which I thought was sorta cute! Nonetheless, I support him because he doesn't curse in his music and still found a way to have a international hit with his first single "Low". Lil Moma has been giving me a grown-up tease lately. From the Grammys to this.... I see her trying to make an image upgrade! But... she needs to do it in a different way. I feel as though her stylist maybe dressing her too conservatively, while having something else in mind! However I do adore her mature look that she is trying to convey. Miss Taylor came through looking rather comfy in her skinnies and army top! She always keeps it real HARLEM!
Also tipping thru was John Legend's new artist, Estelle. She looked rather cute and chic with her over-sized scarf and her shoes were evil! N.E.R.D came through looking rather dope boy fresh! Pharell is the truth out here, and I wish he would have stormed through with one of those Birkin bags he owns! Overall they looked super cool! Last and totally not least Miss BadBoy herself (since she's been signed for the longest), Cheri Dennis stopped through and graced us with a cute simple black skirt and a leather brown vest-like contraption... I'm looking for an upgrade from her as well. Other celebs in attendance included.. Snoop Dogg, T-Pain, Charlie Baltimore (where has she been?), and Day 26 (the new "wanna be" Danity Kane!!) The actual show airs March 4th 2008 on BET @ 9:00 p.m.
((....catch the actual show when it airs!))
