GRAMMYS 2008: Red Carpet Dazzler's

I hope you tuned into the 50th Annual Grammy Awards last night! It was actually worth watching from the red carpet, to the performances, and last but not least... the GOWNS!!!! YES! So, here we go... First with Miss Keys, she is wearing Giorgio Armani which I thought was rather "blah" but it worked for her. I never enjoy her make-up choices or her hair. This time around she gave us a "sophisticated" mo-hawk! Ugh! I don't know, because I live for her and think she's wretched all at the same time. Anywho... moving on.. Carrie Underwood walked right off of the runway with this Zuhair Murad number. When I first saw it, I was like... ummm i don't know... but when I saw the pics, I was living! Faith Hill trotted along in this simple Valentino singled strapped gown. It was real cute and safe for her!
Fergie never does it for me! I always cross my fingers saying to my self... "please let her come with a bang".. it's a flop! Here she sported a Calvin Klein strapless number that was sorta funny looking on her. Doesn't "Fergie" kinda look like a "Ferbie"?! Nonetheless the color was very pretty on her skin complexion, but that's the only plus she gets from me! Miley Cyrus (as known as Hannah Montana) showed up in a Celine dress and Sergio Rossi heels and clutch. It was definitely a good look for her, I mean I don't expect too much from a Disney representative you know! Her look was real chic and fun and I would rather see that than her trying to do something her ambiance couldn't handle. Songstress Natasha Bedingfield looked very regal in a Reem Acra deep purple creation. I looooooveed this for some odd reason. I mean it's not really an odd reason, I just loved it. It fit her well, and does it help that purple is my favorite color?!
International artist Nelly Furtardo looked real cute in her "Greek-um" dress...LOL. She wore an electric-blue draped strapless dress by fellow Canadian Arthur Mendonca, accompanied with a space-age gold necklace. Didn't to much dig her hair style, but however, she pulled it off. Miss Umbrella tipped in with her royal blue "tu-tu" like Zac Posen dress on. I don't live for her hair at all here, and her make-up is really bland. I was watching the Red Carpet special and she said that she may go "a little bit shorter, more boyish".. I don't see it. Cute dress though. Best new artist nominee Taylor Swift looked stunning in Sandi Spikka, and Jimmy Choo sandals. When I look at her ensemble, I think of Natasha Bedingfield but I think her gown was a tad bit more glamorous. I really liked the fact that she chose purple for her color of the night!

((a nite of stars....))
