I've been waiting to see something new from this man for a while now! Gareth Pugh is one of the most, if not "the most", avant-garde designers that reigns today in fashion. This "samurai-inspired" collection sent my mind into an insane overload of hi fashion. Superb tailoring, exaggerated shoulders and an almost entirely monochrome palette painted the picture perfectly.
Coco Rocha and Agyness Deyn were two models that strutted in this show but with such dramatic and form changing make-up who would have noticed! The patented leather and the bunched up stretch material helped structure a certain facade that totally told a story, and was cohesive with this unit. The brolic shoulders, and the "over the top" hair & make-up put me exactly where I wanted to be. Gareth Pugh is an avenger with a cause! He does it every time.
What are your thoughts on this "avant-garde" collection?
