LateBoots Presents: Grip-Hop - 08.08.08

Since we have been able to roam the streets of Atlanta not only has it presented us with great people, food, and SOME style but Atlanta has grown to be the epicenter of - MUSIC. From hot-spots like D-Jango's, Drunken Unicorn and The Royal this particular artist has always been rocking out on the "Atlanta" scene for a quite sometime and we must admit that he is CRACK. We give you Grip Plyaz...
Never before have some many genres of music inspired an artist to create something unheard of. Of course other musicians are inspired by a variety of music, but oftentimes, their sound has been done before; that’s not the case with Grip Plyaz. Grip is a Fourth Ward, Atlanta native whom draws inspiration from clubbing, Chevy’s and women. Grip is known in Atlanta for his catchy hooks and very danceable beats. He has earned the respect of men and women alike for forcing them to have fun again and never changing his sound for the 10 years he’s been making music.
“Grip-Hop” is Grip’s interpretation of hip-hop. On this project he has had the opportunity to work with a variety of producers, including Rob V. of Starz Ink, who has worked on Gucci Mane’s projects to Debonair Samir, who’s a part of Aaron Lacrate’s B-More Gutter music. Grip Plyaz’s sound can’t be summed up into one word, but you can choose from the following: raw, ghettotech, 808 music or our favorite: Grip-Hop. On “Grip-Hop” you will find songs featuring Proton, Hollyweerd, Muffy, Rob Wonder & more.

Grip's album hits stores TODAY! 08.08.08. For more info on his music and show dates hit up his MYSPACE and tell him that LateBoots sent you!
