What's the statement that you usually make when you shrug your shoulders? "I don't care"... or "I don't know".... Well several designers this season sent their muses down the runway saying just that, but in a way more sick-o-ning effect! 2008's shoulders are accentuated with short sleeves on streamlined cuts creating a more balanced silhouette. Pointed shoulders (like YSL and Fendi, above to the right) add an element of futurism and fantasy to a dress or top, while (Balenciaga's top left) rounded shoulders create a look that's football player meets 16th century plate armor, only much daintier of course. I'm so elated that the more riskier and edgy aspects of fashion are on the horizon, and are becoming more "normal".... Someone heard my prayers!((i don't care either...))
