Yesterday I was out shopping for my mother. Her and I like to buy each other facial creams. She was the first person to buy me eye cream at 15 because she said I was growing lines. I hated it then. But now my skin resembles a perfect buttered pancake at iHOP. Gracias Mamá. So as I was picking her up some Arrete Booster C by Revive the young lady tried to sell me some Patricia Wexler M.D. Dermatology Fastscription™ Advanced No-Injection Lip Plumper. She said " oh this is a great product, it's our # 1 seller, even I use it". I said oh no she only wears Chanel lip gloss. The sales woman said no it's not gloss, without a single injection, lips gain visible fullness. I looked at her and said no, this is gloss. It's no way that this product can replace or serve as a lip injection. There is a big difference. You think that your lips are bigger but in reality you just have on alot of gloss. And to think that women and some men are actually believing that these glosses are serving as the no-injection method to gaining a fuller lip. Collagen injections are prepared from the collagen found in cow skin and is used to temporarily augment the lips. So as I was playing in my hair I was thinking, Marquis what do you want to do with yourself. Im good at so many things which can sometimes hurt more than help. Do I want to run my own magazine? I've done my research ( which is key ) and the publication industry is at a low due to the quickness of the internet and blogs. Most magazines that are still around are big names like Vogue, GQ, Vanity Fair, Esquire, Ebony ( yes every black family gets that last one ) but newer publications fail. So I guess that's out the door. I think most people my age are unsure of what they want to do. So many kids are influenced by pop culture where they get blinded of what their true talents are. Because you like fashion you think that's suppose to be your industry? Im about to put some of you on some game. Most of the people I know that actually wear those big names are not in the fashion industry. It's a difference between being a fan and a consumer. It seems like so many people are living their lives from what they see on t.v. and movies.

After The Devil Wears Prada came out so many girls wanted to become an intern at a magazine...and Im still trying to figure out why? It's not that chic. Nobody wants to study and research their craft anymore, we want it now and fast like the movies. But after reading numerous of books ( not ) I realized that you have to do what you're good at, something you wouldn't mind doing for free because you love it. That's a sign. For me my obvious talents are, Creative Directing ( Director ), Photography, Image and Brand Consultanting, but people are telling me there's more. Once you find out your true talents you can then start your research and the molding of your career. Figuring out what you want to become is one of the hardest things, only a few actually do what they love and get paid for it. You'll never reach your destination if you're on the wrong plane.

Sham & I Reporting Live From The Air

Just another day at the LB headquarters...both Sham and I will be in the air today. She's headed one way and me the other. Who knew you could blog on a blackberry while at the airport. I always cheat on my diet at the airport. Like nobody will see me. The hot dog and pretzel combo is so chic. I never know what to wear here so I just throw on shades, jeans, over sized shirt but with a nasty shoe. You never wanna look like you're riding under the plane. And order double shots of vodka on the plane, it makes the flight go by faster and plus I've outgrown those free sodas and is it me or does the SkyMall magazine be selling some of the most random shit? Oh and a tip, since I don't play with the baggage check-in ladies I arrive to the airport 30 min before my departure. The flights be delayed most of the time and I hate sitting in that lobby watching CNN reports. Arrive just in time. The 30 min rule.

[ This Is Not A PETA Issue ] Ok so it's the end of the week and I don't know about you but I always buy a Sunday's paper to cut up the coupons!!! Yes sir can you imagine me in my optical frames cutting out pons...Oprah did an amazing show on how much money you can save by using coupons so ofcourse me being me I tried it. I want to say that it worked but I don't really buy that much food when Im at the store, I go straight to the organic/vegan aisle. Im not gonna front, Im not a full blown vegal but I tend to not eat heavy meats anymore. Soymilk is always the partner to my Special K.

So I found this brand Morning Star that offers a delectable array of veggie delights, including delicious burgers, savory breakfast products, tasty snacks and more to satisfy everyone's tastes. Today was my monthly men's day out- gentlemen's club style- this is where we either hit up a museum, restaurant or spa to have good dialogue. So we hit up this day spa and got the deluxe treatment. Im talkin hands, feet, facial treatments. I suggest that you try something like this once a month thing with your crew- it doesn't cost alot and it makes you closer. Let's face it, some of us work too hard no to get pampered.

It's Christmas season and it's that time where you have to go visit your family, my mom text me [ I don't like talking on the phone unless it's about $$ or business. Which is the same to me. ] She asked if I was coming home and since I have yet to get my MarquisJet Card I have to fly American Airlines. Im not a fan. I hate baggage claim and my flight has one stop so I told her I was only bringing a carry on which means I'll have no garments prior to my arrival home. Here comes the shouting part, I told her that she'd have to buy me a new RL collection and that was the only way I'd come home. Genius right.
